Fascinating piece! How are you so good at this?

(FYI: there appears to be an editing error, a paragraph ends abruptly with the sentence fragment 'Obviously worth pointing out that, if')

Couldn't agree more, I'm starting to think an AI model trained on historical data woud classify this period as terminal, though I hope we're just hitting a rough patch.

Hi Maia,

I understand that you are probably writing primarily for an audience of one; yourself :-)

However, in the interests of your knowledge and reaching a broader audience, I might suggest you break up your posts to short thought pieces.

In this instance, I had Claude help me with taking in all the ideas expressed in the article.

cheers,

Wim

I hope describing it in these terms doesn't sound condescending, but I am greatly pleased to see a critique of neoliberalism that is not necessarily anti-liberal or otherwise extremist. I care about liberal values and I see neoliberalism as an inadequate way to get them, something which just really wants to make some money and upholds those pieties as a mask.

And of course, a critique that is well written and eloquent. It was kind of funny to see a lot of thoughts I've mostly seen in the realm of social media takes, be collected and refined in one place.

I would say my main criticism so far is just on the side of redaction, there's a few mistakes I noticed throughout it.

"He claims this comes from wokeness being a non-liberal an ideology built" seems to at the very least be missing a few commas.
